After a heartbreaking loss in the first round of sectional play, Wheeler coach Dan Klimczak has no choice but to look to the future after the Bearcats saw their season come to an end.
"We're going forward," Klimczak said after Friday's 31-28 loss to North Judson. "We'll take some time and then we'll be back at it and try to get better for next year."
Slated to replace Mike DeSimone at quarterback will be Sam O'Shea. The sophomore had a 37-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Bolla on a trick play in the sectional loss.
Any number of players could replace standout running back Clay Duarte, including junior Kyle Kellar and sophomore Jarrod Branch.
