Kick off for the Michigan City Summer Festival is Saturday. Two bands will provide live entertainment. Steve & Judy Hoffman of South Bend will have an authentic MASH Unit display at the entry to the event. Military vehicles will be displayed and food and craft vendors will be present. The Michigan City Summer Festival Beer Garden will be open.

The Poker Run is similar to a scavenger hunt in a vehicle or on a motorcycle over a scenic course throughout the County. Poker Run registration will begin at 10 a.m. at the Museum with the last bike out at 1 p.m. Last bike in arrives at Washington Park at 4 p.m. Cost to participate in the Run is $15 and includes admission to the MASH Party.

A new addition to this year's MASH Party, a Ride-In Bike Show will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 with People's Choice judging. There is a $5 fee to enter and trophies will be awarded in each category. The kick-off for the

MASH Party begins at 1 p.m. and the event goes to 11 p.m. at the Jaycee's Stage in Washington Park, on the Michigan City Lakefront.

The Boogie Men will be playing Classic Rock with a twist from 2 to 6 p.m. At 7, Rock Bottom will perform.

Tickets for the event are $5 and are on sale at the Museum. For information, call (219) 872-2702 or (800) 726-5912.
